Companions and Sir Knights:
It is with great sadness that the death of Past Grand Commander Charles W.
Nelson is announced,
following an illness
of several months. Sir Knight served as Right Eminent Grand Commander of
the
Grand Commandery of
Knights Templar of Minnesota in 1999-2000 and as Grand Treasurer of the
Grand Commandery of
Knights Templar of Minnesota in 2001-2007. He was Executive Director of
the Minnesota Masonic
Historical Society and Museum (MMHSM).
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 23, 2007 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the
Billman-Hunt Funeral Chapel,
2701 Central Ave. NE,
Minneapolis, MN. A Commandery honor guard will be formed at 6:30 PM.
Masonic service at
7:00 p.m.
The funeral service, and burial, will be Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at
Lakewood Cemetery,
3600 Hennepin Ave.,
Minneapolis, MN at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM.
He is survived by his wife, Angie. Cards may be sent to her at: Mrs.

Having worked with Charles throughout his York Rite career and on the MMHSM,
I count his friendship
one of the highlights of my Masonic life. May the Great Architect
of the Universe grant
him both peace and rest, and welcome him into the Celestial Lodge above.
